I send this note as we are just closing in on Roma. 

We left the farm this morning with no breakfast or coffee. That was interesting. 

We headed out on a dirt road, turned right and headed for campagnano di roma.

After the sleep on the hard floor at the Church hall we returned the key to the policeman then headed out for Sutri.

Our departure city was Capranica.

Vic says it was a 'smart move' to start their hike on a rainy day. They took a taxi 10 km to a town they do not know the name of, then climbed and climbed a mountain 911 meters high. 

They were on the edge of an extinct volcano!

After a 20 km day, they arrived in Capranica

There were no hotels rooms ...

Vic says that this is the all time great adventure. Eventhough I get my updates via email, I can hear the excitement in his voice.

The adventure got started from Rome, where Vic and Mr. Spooner spent a night in a 'reasonable' hotel.

When they got to the train station 2E they found that the train left several meters from the spot where they were standing, and thus the hiking adventure started with a sprint, and they just made it.

They had one train change on their way...

Here is a quick update from Vic...

He is in Rome airport waiting to connect with the great Charlie Spooner.

They will catch the train at 10:30 tonight and arrive in Sienna at 6:30 am.
