To my many friends,
Reality is starting to sink in.
I just packed my bags with donated uniforms, volleyballs and computer tablets.
Needless to say my Travel agent has suggested I get the airport early with the bags. (to negotiate )
We are sending out a separate letter with a thank you to those that donated. (spectacular by the way in the range of @2700)
Let me just cover the uniforms and balls...

Vic and his son Darren went out on another bike riding adventure, but this time close to home.
I love how I ask my dad where he went and what he did, and I am given one or two words for each location and a few pictures. It looks like it is my turn to have an adventure and solve what I will call, 'The Mysterious Easter Adventure'.
It seems that their goal was to get to the top of a mountain and enjoy the beautiful view of Ganges on Salt Spring Island. In the first pictu...Read Full Post »

Adventure. It starts with a plane flight and ends with a story and memories to last a lifetime. When interviewing my dad, Vic, over the phone I was fascinated by little details like what the food was like, or the trees, or how my brother Darren used a gift of a bar of ivory soap to gain advantage on a ferry.
I know or hear of a lot of people going to Cuba. Sometimes they come back with a tan and tell me how the...Read Full Post »

Written by Andrea from little notes, pictures and emails from Vic...
December 25, 2013 Vic took his son Dean and grandkids on another adventure, or maybe they took him, either way, the youngest of his grandchildren, Brody, reminded Grandpa Vic of his phrase 'The best do what the rest are not prepared to do.' as they were exploring and bushwacked through to a creek bed.
Vic, my dad, sends me little notes and I sort of piece together what the adventures looked like. I un...Read Full Post »

Vic had a two week bike riding adventure in Arizona last month, and here are a few interesting points...
The Foothill Cycling Club organizes rides 5 days a week. For Vic's biking adventure with this group of riders ranging in age from 60 to 84, he joined them for rides ranging from 30 km to 71 km per day. Talk about a club for Vic! For those of you who remember 5 years ago, at the age of 70 Vic rode his mountain bike from Victoria to Manitoba with a theme of comb...Read Full Post »

Currently, Vic is waiting for stand by at the airport... Here is another story...
Now a story of Donna...
Who is Donna?
She is a 60 year old lady from Boston who is now the poster lady for the opposite of AADD! (Adult Adventure Defecit Disorder)
We met Donna when we were on the train to Naples. She was in Charlie's seat, and when mentioned, she had no problem shift...Read Full Post »

We left from the Park Hotel near Lasorta and decided our adventure would be the train and subway.
Taking the train then subway was a smooth trip.
Charlie had it covered and we booked a hotel last night.
It was the first time for that.
We purcahsed a su...Read Full Post »
